Questions
About IP telephony
Can we keep our existing phone numbers?
Normally yes, through your SIP provider. Confirm it with them early: porting timelines are set by the outgoing carrier, not by us, and they are the part of a project most likely to slip.
Will it work if the internet goes down?
Internal calls between extensions keep working, because the PBX is on your network. External calls depend on the SIP trunk. Where that matters, we discuss a fallback route before designing the system.
